The RAF Digby Sector Operations room museum welcomes school groups. Students aged 10-16 can view the large collection of photographs, documentation which relates to RAF Fighter Command operations 1939-1945, as well as to RAF Bomber Command operations and the influence that our Allies had upon the outcome of the war. Practical displays show how plotting of enemy aircraft was done and how the Battle of Britain was won. Groups of up to 50 students, escorted by teachers are invited to view this unique museum within Lincolnshire. Alternatively, presentations at your school, supported by 35mm slides, can be arranged by contacting the Visits Coordinator: Tel: 01526 327262 or 01526 327619 (8am - 5pm Monday to Friday). The museum offers free admission to all and has been set up to honour and respect all those who fought in the defence of this country during World War Two. |
